Andy McLoughlin – DJ / Soundmob
Andy McLoughlin started djing at the age of 15. By 18 he was running his own parties for friends, and by the time he reached Newcastle University, was a regular warm dj for the world’s biggest djs. Following university Andy began working in club promotion and djing in Liverpool while holding down a graduate day job. He was the warm-up dj of choice for Tricky and Coldcut and regularly played alongside the likes of Goldie and Roni Size. In 2000 he set up ‘Soundmob’ a dj agency supplying talent to Liverpool’s bars and clubs as well as supplying hotels, restaurants and bars with music soundtracks. In 2002 Andy was recruited by Cream as resident dj worldwide. In the last few years Andy ditched the day job to concentate on Soundmob full-time, and has expanded the company’s services into music licensing, podcasting and radio production. Soundmob has now become a fully-fledged ‘music branding’ agency with over 20 freelancers on its books. Andy presents and produces the official Cream radio show weekly on Radio City 96.7, and also the Cream podcast, which has over 100,000 subscribers.
