Chris Horkan (Hey! Manchester) – Promoter

Chris Horkan is an independent promoter based in Manchester, specialising in
folk, Americana, experimental and avant-garde music. Since early 2006, he
has debuted Jens Lekman, Final Fantasy, Espers, Edith Frost, Vetiver, Los
Campesinos!, Band of Horses, The Twilight Sad, Frightened Rabbit, Menomena,
Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon, Efterklang and Akron/Family at venues including
the Kings Arms, the Circle Club, the Klondyke Club, the Dancehouse Theatre
and Sacred Trinity Church. This year he has been involved in Futuresonic
festival and Salford’s Sounds From The Other City. Chris is also a part-time
web developer and a full-time music and arts journalist.
